Demand for power from traders can be challenging as many stallholders are not aware of energy efficient alternatives and are used to plugging into the generator or mains with no idea how much energy they actually use! We can liaise with the users before the event to ensure it all runs smoothly.
REsource can power LED lights, sound systems, fridges and freezers, juicers, laptops etc. It is more challenging to power electric heating elements such as toasters and kettles but if that is what is needed it can be done. However it is important to note that a kettle takes more energy to boil than running a full stage! Quite often in a bigger event with many traders/eateries it is appropriate to have solar power in a specific area such as the green or healing area. This provides a quiet area and also highlights the power source and environmental impact of that area. At some events we provide charging facilities for wheelchairs, phones and tablets. Usually when situated further away from the main arena, for example in the camping area. REsource can also power water pumps, if needed, to get water around the site and we have an efficient freezer on board the fire engine for use by caterers or crew. We have powered traders at Green Valley Arts and Beautiful Bassetlaw Festival of Community Arts where we powered ice cream and a gyroscope! We power caterers at Holifair, often power Beat-Root Cafe and run the entire event including catering (with toaster!) at Beulah Festival. We power showers and provide charging facilities at L fest and The Good Life Experience. |
